Sala Time Code of Conduct

At Sala Time FC, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment for all members. To ensure that our club is a positive and welcoming place, we expect all members to adhere to the following code of conduct:

  1. Respect: All members should treat each other with respect and dignity, regardless of age, gender, race, or any other characteristic. We expect all members to behave in a courteous and respectful manner towards each other, officials, opponents, and spectators.
  2. Fair Play: All members should strive to play fairly and within the rules of the game. We expect all members to display good sportsmanship and to refrain from any behaviour that may give their team an unfair advantage.
  3. Honesty: All members should be honest in their interactions with each other and with club officials. We expect all members to take responsibility for their actions and to act with integrity at all times.
  4. Responsibility: All members should take responsibility for their own behavior and their impact on others. We expect all members to follow club rules and regulations, to be punctual for games and training, and to notify the appropriate person if they are unable to attend.
  5. Safety: All members should prioritize safety during games and training. We expect all members to follow safety guidelines and to report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the appropriate person.
  6. Alcohol and Drugs: The use of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited at club-related activities. We expect all members to refrain from the use of alcohol or drugs during games or training
  7. Bullying and Harassment: Bullying, harassment, and discrimination of any kind are not tolerated at Sala Time FC. We expect all members to act in a way that is respectful and supportive of others.
  8. Social Media: We expect all members to use social media in a responsible and respectful manner. Members should refrain from posting any offensive or derogatory comments or content about the club, its members, or opponents.
  9. Club Property: Members should respect and take care of all club property, including equipment, uniforms, and facilities. We expect all members to report any damage or loss of club property to the appropriate person.
  10. Compliance: All members should comply with the club’s policies and procedures, including the Blue Card Policy. We expect all members to act in a way that is consistent with the club’s values and to cooperate with club officials and other members.

Player's Code of Behaviour

All Sala Time FC players must adhere to the following Player Code of Conduct:

Never argue with an official. Your coach will approach the official after the match.

  • Control your temper. Verbal abuse of officials and sledging other players, deliberately distracting or provoking an opponent are not acceptable behaviours at Sala Time.
  • Cooperate with your teammates, coaches, referees and opponents. Without them, there would be no competition.
  • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.
  • Any physical or verbal altercation will not be tolerated with offending parties being immediately ejected from the match. Poor team behaviour may result in the removal of that team from the competition.
  • Remove all jewellery prior to training and match play, as it is a hazard to you and others.
  • Play to compete, for enjoyment and to improve your skills – have a champion attitude!
  • Don’t lower yourself, your coach, your parents or your team by displaying unsporting behaviour on and off the court.
  • Wear your uniform with pride and treat others with respect.

Parent & Spectator's Code of Behaviour

Parent’s or Spectator’s attending a match or otherwise involved in any activity involving the participation of any SALA TIME FC team must:

  • Respect the decisions of referees, coaches and teach children to do the same.
  • Never ridicule or scold a child for making a mistake.
  • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability, race, colour, religion, language, politics, national or ethnic origin.
  • Never use violence in any form towards another person including fellow spectators, players or Match/Team Officials (including Coaches).
  • Not engage in acts of discrimination, harassment or abuse towards any person, including:
  • the use of obscene or offensive language and/or gestures.
  • the incitement of hatred or violence.
  • Comply with all Terms of Admission including provisions relating to security screening, intoxication, and items that are prohibited by law or restricted by policy from being brought into the Venue.
  • Not display, or attempt to display, the following items within the Venue: a. National, political or racial flags or emblems except for the recognised National flags of the competing teams; b. offensive or inappropriate banners in either English or a foreign language.
  • Never throw missiles, projectiles or objects of any description at Players, Match Officials or fellow spectators.
  • Not enter or attempt to enter the field of play or playing arena without lawful authority.
  • Refrain from any disorderly conduct or conduct that may injure the reputation and goodwill of Sala Time FC and the code of Futsal generally. Any person who does not comply with this Spectator Code of Behaviour or who otherwise causes a disturbance may be evicted from the Venue and may be banned from attending future Matches.

Fines

Policy on Players, Coaches, Managers, and Support Staff Paying Fines Incurred as a Result of Participation in Games at Sala Time FC. This includes any games; friendlies, pre-seasons or external competition/ series.

  1. Purpose – The purpose of this policy is to establish a clear guideline for players, coaches, managers, and support staff who incur fines as a result of their participation in games at Sala Time FC, and to make it clear that it is the individual’s responsibility to pay any fines incurred.
  2. Scope – This policy applies to all players, coaches, managers, and support staff who are registered with Sala Time FC and participate in games.
  3. Responsibility – It is the responsibility of the individual to pay any fines incurred as a result of their participation in games. Sala Time FC will not pay any fines on behalf of the individual.
  4. Notification Individuals will be notified of any fines incurred as a result of their participation in games. The club will not be held responsible for any fines that are not properly delivered to the individual.
  5. Timely Payment Individuals are expected to pay any fines incurred as a result of their participation in games in a timely manner. Failure to pay fines may result in disciplinary action and may also impact the individual’s ability to participate in future games.
  6. Record Keeping

The club will keep a record of any fines incurred by individuals as a result of their participation in games. This information will be used for the purpose of tracking compliance with the policy and for any necessary reporting requirements.

By accepting membership and participation in games at Sala Time FC, individuals agree to comply with this policy and accept full responsibility for any fines incurred as a result of their participation in games

Blue Card Policy

Sala Time FC is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all of our members, including our players, coaches, volunteers, and staff. As part of this commitment, we require all adults who work with children in our club to hold a valid Blue Card.

A Blue Card is a form of accreditation that is required for anyone who works with children in Queensland, Australia. It is issued by the Queensland Government’s Blue Card Services and is designed to ensure that people who work with children are suitable to do so.

If you are a coach, assistant coach, team manager, or volunteer with our club and you work with children, you will need to obtain a Blue Card. This includes anyone who works with our players during training sessions, games, or other club-related activities.

To obtain a Blue Card, you will need to complete an application and undergo a criminal history check. You will also need to provide some personal and professional references. Once you have obtained a Blue Card, you will need to keep it up-to-date and provide us with a copy of the card.

If you do not hold a valid Blue Card, you will not be able to work with children in our club. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our players and to comply with the legal requirements for working with children in Queensland.

We take the safety and wellbeing of our members very seriously, and we appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that our club is a safe and supportive environment for everyone involved.

Child Protection Policy

Introduction and Commitment

1.1 Sala Time FC is committed to providing a safe and positive environment for children and young people participating in our programs. Our club is run entirely by volunteers who are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for all children involved. The purpose of this Child Protection Policy is to provide guidelines for the protection of children and young people and to set out the Club’s expectations and procedures for ensuring their safety.

Scope

2.1 This policy applies to all individuals and entities associated with Sala Time FC, including but not limited to players, coaches, staff, volunteers, officials, fans, sponsors, and partners. It covers all aspects of our activities, including competitions, events, programs, and facilities.

Creating a Safe Environment

3.1. The Club will provide a safe environment for children and young people to participate in all Club activities.

3.2. The Club will ensure that all volunteers and coaches who have regular contact with children and young people have completed a Working with Children Check or equivalent.

3.3. The Club will ensure that any complaints or concerns raised in relation to the safety of children and young people are addressed immediately, and appropriate action is taken to prevent any recurrence.

3.4. The Club will ensure that all children and young people are treated with respect and dignity, and that any discrimination or harassment will not be tolerated.

Guidelines for Interaction with Children and Young People

4.1. All volunteers and coaches must communicate with children and young people in an appropriate and respectful manner.

4.2. Physical contact with children and young people should only be undertaken in the context of soccer training and matches, and should be appropriate and non-threatening.

4.3. Volunteers and coaches must not engage in any behaviour that could be construed as grooming or inappropriate conduct, and should maintain a professional distance.

4.4. Volunteers and coaches must not take photos or videos of children and young people without the consent of parents or guardians.

4.5. Volunteers and coaches must ensure that all interactions with children and young people are visible to others at all times, including in change rooms.

4.6. Volunteers and coaches should ensure that all players parents and carers are invited to any private communication channels, social media, or apps that will be used to relay information or share images.

4.7. From time to time it may be necessary for volunteers or coaches to transport children, who are not their own, to and from training or games.  In all such instances parental consent from all parties must be sought.  Parents are further encouraged to ensure they are comfortable all drivers will hold the appropriate license and the vehicle to be used is in a roadworthy condition.

Reporting and Responding to Child Abuse

5.1. Any volunteer or coach who has reason to believe that a child or young person is at risk of harm, or has been subjected to abuse or neglect, must report their concerns to the relevant parties immediately.

5.2. The Club will ensure that all complaints or allegations of abuse or neglect are taken seriously, and will provide a supportive and sensitive response to the child and their family.

5.3. The Club will ensure that any reports of abuse or neglect are referred to the appropriate authorities as required by law.

Training and Education

6.1. The Club will encourage a culture of vigilance, and all members are encouraged to report any concerns or suspicions they may have about the welfare of children and young people.

Review and Evaluation

7.1. This policy will be reviewed and evaluated as necessary to ensure that it remains current and relevant.

7.2. The Club will seek feedback from all members and stakeholders to ensure that the policy is effective in meeting its objectives.

7.3. The Club will ensure that all members and stakeholders are informed of any changes to the policy if so requested or deemed necessary.

 

 

Payments & Refunds

Payments

Sala Time FC reserves the right to suspend or rescind registration if a player’s fees are not paid in full, either at the time of registration or an approved Sala Time FC Payment Plan is not adhered to.

Refund Policy

As part of our registration process, we want to make sure that you understand our policy regarding refunds.

In accordance with ACCC; Sala Time FC is not required to refund in full or part of any payments made. 

This includes, but not limited to:

Change of mind, change in circumstance, Injury, playing only “part” of a season. 

Please note that our registration fees are non-refundable. By completing your registration and submitting payment, you agree to our no refund policy. This means that once you have paid for your registration, we will not issue any refunds, regardless of whether or not you ultimately participate in our club activities.

We understand that circumstances can change, and we encourage you to carefully review your schedule and other commitments before registering with our club.

We are committed to providing high-quality programs and activities for our members, and we work hard to ensure that our club is a fun and engaging experience for everyone involved. We appreciate your support and your commitment to our club.

Grievance Policy

The purpose of this policy is to provide a procedure for members and participants of Sala Time FC to raise any complaints, grievances, or concerns they may have in relation to the club, its policies, procedures, or other members.

Scope

This policy applies to all members and participants of Sala Time FC.

Procedure

  1. Informal Resolution: Whenever possible, the complainant should first attempt to resolve the grievance informally by raising the concern with the person or persons involved, such as the coach, team manager, committee member, or other member. The club encourages open communication and will make all reasonable efforts to resolve complaints informally.
  2. Formal Complaint: If an informal resolution is not possible, the complainant may submit a formal complaint to the club by completing the Grievance Form, which is available on the club’s website or from a committee member. The Grievance Form should include a clear and concise statement of the grievance and any relevant information or evidence.
  3. Receipt of the Complaint: The club will acknowledge receipt of the formal complaint and advise the complainant of the process for addressing the grievance.
  4. Investigation: The club will investigate the complaint, including speaking with any relevant parties and gathering any necessary evidence. The investigation will be conducted impartially and in a timely manner.
  5. Resolution: The club will provide a written response to the complainant outlining the findings of the investigation and any actions that will be taken to address the grievance. The club will also provide a timeframe for the implementation of any actions.
  6. Appeal: If the complainant is not satisfied with the outcome of the grievance process, they may appeal to the club’s executive committee. The executive committee will review the matter and provide a final decision, which will be communicated to the complainant in writing.

Confidentiality

All complaints and grievances will be handled with the utmost confidentiality. The club will take all reasonable steps to protect the privacy of the complainant and any other parties involved in the grievance.
